Kala Artist
Vance Joy

James Keogh was born in Melbourne, Australia, and took the stage name Vance Joy from a character in Peter Carey’s novel Bliss. Following the release of his first EP, God Loves You When You’re Dancing, in 2013, James signed a five-album contract with Atlantic Records. He released the first album of that deal, Dream Your Life Away, in 2014, with a headlining tour following at the end of the year. In 2015, he toured with Taylor Swift as the opening act on her 1989 World Tour and in 2018 released his highly anticipated second album: 'Nation of Two.'
James is currently at work writing for his next project. He can be seen in many live videos playing his collection of Kala ukuleles, including his guitarlele.
